What Is Sewa?

Sewa means selfless service.

It is the practice of helping others without expecting personal recognition or reward. For Manukhta Di Sewa USA, Sewa is more than a word. It is the spirit behind our work.

It reminds us that service should be performed with humility, compassion and respect for the person being served.

Sarbat Da Bhala

WELFARE OF ALL.

Sarbat Da Bhala expresses a wish for the well-being of everyone. It is deeply connected to the teachings and tradition of Sikhism and represents a universal idea: our concern should extend beyond ourselves to the well-being of all humanity.

These principles inspire Manukhta Di Sewa USA. Our organization, however, serves humanitarian needs without regard to religion, nationality, ethnicity or background.

We do not require someone to share our beliefs to deserve our compassion.
